SENSAGE’S FAMILY OF SECURITY ANALYTICS SOLUTIONS AWARDED CHECK POINT OPSEC CERTIFICATION

Certification Ensures Seamless Interoperability Between SenSage and Check Point’s VPN-1 Pro Software

SAN FRANCISO, CA – March 13, 2006 – SenSage, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise security analytics, today announced that its scalable log management and analysis solution has achieved OPSEC™ (Open Platform for Security) certification from Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet.

SenSage’s security analytics solution allows both commercial and government organizations to comply with the increasing number of state, federal and industry-specific compliance guidelines that mandate or recommend long-term assessment and retention of system and security event data.

“Security analytics solutions play a major role in identifying security breaches through centralized aggregation and analysis of daily firewall and VPN events,” said Amir Ben-Efraim, director of business development for Check Point Software Technologies. “The OPSEC certified integration between SenSage and Check Point solutions yields a comprehensive security information management solution to accelerate compliance initiatives.”

SenSage, which has been supporting the Check Point family of network security solutions, was officially awarded OPSEC certification this month after Check Point completed rigorous interoperability testing. OPSEC certification assures customers that SenSage’s enterprise-scalable event log management and analysis solution seamlessly integrates with Check Point's market-leading VPN-1® Pro software. For example, SenSage secure event collection is established via an encrypted session to Check Point employing the OPSEC Log Export API (LEA).

“As a market leader in network security and access control, Check Point is among the premier vendors our customer seek to incorporate their audit and investigation processes,” said Dan Barahona, director of business development for SenSage. "Although SenSage products have always supported Check Point source data, OPSEC sends a clear message to customers that SenSage seamlessly integrates with Check Point. We look forward to working closely with Check Point to jointly market our complementary security compliance solutions.”

SenSage helps companies achieve compliance with the growing number of government and industry-specific regulations that mandate or strongly recommend long-term event data retention, monitoring and analysis. The event data, which is generated by network devices, security solutions, systems and business applications, represents a rich information asset for companies who must continually assess their security posture, track internal and external threats, and complete regular audits.

The sheer scale of the event data can overwhelm the capacity and processing limitations of traditional security information management (SIM) and log management systems. SenSage excels at event data collection, monitoring, retention and analytics. The SenSage appliance-like scalability enables precise, long-term search and trending against terabytes of event log data and ships with rules and reports aligned to ISO-17799 best practices. The system’s unique data management architecture optimizes performance, storage capacity and audit productivity. Key SenSage features include:

  • High-performance data collection and analysis employing parallel processing, data compression and a centralized, clustered analytic repository,
  • An intuitive management console that streamlines administration and bridges real-time alerts and historic investigation for greater user productivity,
  • More than 150 built-in operation, trend, and exception reports, as well as broad event source support for common and custom logs,
  • Compliance analytic packages with pre-defined rules and reports mapped to Sarbanes-Oxley, banking, healthcare and security guidelines.
