Tokyo Electron Introduces SenSage 3.5J to Accelerate J-SOX and Privacy Regulatory Compliance

SenSage Japanese Localization Meets Strong Demand for Scalable Event Log Management and Security Analytics

TOKYO, JAPAN and SAN FRANCISCO, CA – June 15, 2006 – Tokyo Electron Ltd. (TEL), a leading Japanese provider of security, networking and storage solutions, and SenSage, Inc., the leading provider of enterprise security analytics, today announced availability of SenSage 3.5J designed to accelerate Japanese organizations’ efforts to satisfy J-SOX, the unofficial term for Japan’s equivalent of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Sections 302 and 404, and privacy regulatory compliance requirements. SenSage enables centralized aggregation, cost-effective retention and high-speed reporting of large, diverse event log data.   SenSage 3.5J integrates the collection, storage and correlation of Kanji-based system activity messages.

Event log management best practices present organizations with costly data management problems because significant volumes of data must be consistently captured, maintained, accessible and assessed.  These enterprise log management processes consume terabytes of storage and processing capacity. SenSage eliminates the difficulty and significantly lowers the storage and operational costs associated with retaining and analyzing event log data.  The SenSage solution has been localized to facilitate system monitoring, identifying insider threats and maintaining compliance with Japanese and global compliance requirements; such as J-SOX and the Japan Personal Information Protection Act.

SenSage 3.5J integrates with leading network, security, host and business applications - and now fully supports Kanji-based event logs.  Organizations can readily collect, store, access and analyze complete Kanji data to assess their security posture, investigate internal security violations, reduce data privacy leakage risks, and maintain auditable records.  SenSage 3.5J Kanji-centric functionality includes:

  • Query development and reporting (including tabular and chart display)
  • Kanji data entry, filtering and sorting
  • Kanji sub-string pattern matching

“We are pleased to launch SenSage 3.5J as a robust achievement of our strong partnership,”  said Vic Amano, vice president and general manager of TEL’s Computer Network Division.

“Japanese customers eagerly welcome the long-awaited Kanji-support, which addresses their critical security and compliance requirements.”

“TEL has validated the need in SenSage solutions among large Japanese organizations across industry segments,” said Frank Bien, vice president of business development at SenSage.  “Given increased Japanese privacy and compliance requirements, we anticipate strong demand for SenSage 3.5J.”

TEL markets SenSage’s Enterprise Security Analytics solution to its customers and partners in Japan.  Customers can complement standard SenSage support with TEL’s local on-site and 24x7 support services menu.  See TEL and SenSage at the 3rd Information Security Expo and Conference held in Tokyo on June 28-30, 2006 at booth 41-30.
